INSURANCE:
This is where you can add insurance on your package.
USPS will only cover the cost of the item no matter how much insurance you purchase, so only purchase the range your order falls into.
USPS does not offer insurance for packages leaving the US. If we receive an order from outside the US with insurance attached we will simply remove the insurance from the order, then notify you through the email you provided on your order form.
Any package which should ever arrive from the post office damaged, you should immediately advise the deliverer or take it directly to the local post office to surrender it back to them and start the insurance process. The damaged goods becomes the property of the post office, then within a certain time frame, they send the product price back to us and we can make a new product.
Packages shipped without insurance are simply NOT insured. They will leave this facility in proper condition, but if they arrived damaged by the carrier, there is basically nothing we can do for you, but sell you another product. In ten years, we have had reports of two packages arriving damaged by the carrier. One was insured, and that is why we know the process. The second one was not, and the post office did not offer any compensation. Thats a pretty good track record of deliveries, however, considering our volume, and that is one reason we use USPS.
